R-VI Homecoming King and Queen crowned

Community R-VI crowned Jamie Householder as King and Danielle Brooks as Queen during their Homecoming festivities held last Friday night.

A week full of Homecoming events kept students busy at Community R-VI last week as they celebrated “An Animated Homecoming.”
During Community R-VI’s doubleheader with Montgomery County, Jamie Householder was crowned King and Danielle Brooks was crowned Queen for this year’s Homecoming.
The week began on Monday with a poster decorating contest.
The juniors won with their “Whistle While We Win” poster.
The senior poster “Up House” was second, the freshman poster “Trojan Shooting” took third place, and the sophomore poster “Let’s Get Fired Up” was fourth.
A float contest was held with the seniors taking first, sophomores in second, juniors in third, and the freshmen in fourth.
Cake winners were freshmen, with seniors in second, juniors in third, and sophomores in fourth.
A banner competition saw juniors take first, seniors in second, freshmen in third, and sophomores in fourth.
Several interactive games were held on Friday. Those included King and Queen relay races, Ankle Balloon Pop, Shoe Scramble, Egg Smash, Plunger Pop, and a four-legged race.
Seniors won the Spirit Shield while the juniors and sophomores tied for second place and the freshmen finished third.
There were also dress-up days throughout the week. Tuesday was “Color Day,” Wednesday was “Dynamic Duo Day,” Thursday was “Captain American Day,” and Friday was “Spirit Day.”
