Audrain County R-VI FFA Chapter members prepared and presented on agricultural topics at the Area V and Northeast District FFA Fall Public Speaking Events this Fall. Members researched and wrote a six-eight minute speech and presented it to a panel of judges, followed by a five-minute question and answer session. Lauryn Robnett and Maddee Gastler competed in the Missouri Cattle Industry division, hosted by the Missouri Cattlemen’s Association. Lauryn placed second at Area V and first at the Northeast District Competitions. She will represent the Northeast District in January at the state competition. Madde Gastler placed fifth in Area V.
Sirrina Dunn competed in the Missouri Farm Bureau contest. She placed first at the Area V contest and was third at the Northeast District competition.
Ally Troesser competed in the Missouri Pork Producers division, placing first at Area V and second at the Northeast District and an alternate to state competition.
Also competing at the Area V FFA Fall Speaking Contests were Emily Hoyt, Missouri Institute of Cooperatives, third place; Grant Stafford, Missouri Soil and Water Conservation, fifth place; Morgan Duenke, Missouri Young Farmers, fifth place; Justin Duenke, Sirrina Dunn, Aubrey Stafford, Kyle Oligschlaeger, Amber Nichols, Ethan Fort, and Landon Wright also participated in the Rituals CDE, presenting the Opening and Closing Ceremonies for official FFA activities. Kyle Oligschlaeger and Ty Becker served as Area V FFA Delegates.
