R-VI Elementary students perform holiday musical

Community R-VI Elementary students present a holiday musical for the district.

Community R-VI Elementary School entertained a large crowd with their 2017 Holiday Musical for friends and family members of the district on Wednesday, December 6.
Grace Welch and Braysen Glasgow opened with the welcome to the event.
The Pre-School followed with “Reindeer Pokey” and “One Small Voice.”
The 4th and 5th grade students then featured “It’s Showtime!” and “Snow” by Teresa Jennings.
“Christmas is Forever” by Tru Patterson came afterwards. The 2nd and 3rd grade students featured “Santa, What a Guy” by Teresa and Paul Jennings along with “What’s In That Stocking?”
Layton Wright and KaTavyn Wheeler provided “Holiday Laughs.”
The Kindergarten and 1st grade students had “Winter Fun” by Mike Wilson and “Listen To The Jingles” by Teresa Jennings. “Christmas Star” featured Hailey Schmidt and Megan Zastrow.
Trojan Treble Singers, which is the 5th-8th grade Honor Choir, included “Music Matters” by Teresa Jennings. There was also “‘Twas Mom’s Night Before Christmas” featuring Cici Hall and Nevaeh Davis.
Special Music included the K-5th grade students performing “Why Music? (Do You Know?)” by Teresa Jennings.
“Merry Christmas” concluded the event with the help of Bethany Forbis and Jocelyn Curtis.
