The Community R-VI cross country program had just one runner competing in the Mexico Invitational held last Saturday.
Freshman Paige Meyer finished the race in 32:26 to finish near the bottom in the loaded 67-runner field that featured many dominant schools like Bowling Green and Mexico.
Paige Risenhoover, who is a senior returner to the program, didn’t compete in the race.
Community R-VI’s cross country squad is coached by Caitlyn Cunningham.
“They’ve set goals they want to meet,” Cunningham said. “All I really want is for them to exceed their own expectations. I want them to improve each meet, which they will most likely do, and eventually they will get faster, stronger, and be more competitive.”
There are no boys in this year’s program.
