The Farber Summer Fun Fest and Farber Community Betterment Council have launched a Farber Community Building Improvement Project.
Phase I is nearing completion and included a new handicapped accessible bathroom. The group plans to freshen up interior paint and upgrade ceiling fans and wall sconce lights in the next few weeks. These improvements have been funded with Summer 2015 Fun Fest profits and other generous donations.
Phase II improvements will include new tile flooring, a more efficient air conditioning unit, and other upgrades, to be completed as quickly as funds can be raised.
The 2016 fundraising kickoff event will be a Valentine’s Day Soup lunch on February 14 at the Community Building. A variety of soup and chili, sandwiches, and desserts will be served  from  11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Sunday.
A fun for all ages  “Best Decorated Valentine” Contest  prize winner will be announced at the Soup lunch. Contest details and entry forms can be picked up at Kuda’s Auto Repair and the Farber Branch Library.
Everyone is invited to come out and enjoy lunch while helping renovate the Community Building.
A Poker Tournament and Spring Slow-Pitch Ball Tournament are being scheduled to help with project funding. Watch for details in the near future.
Donation collection jars have been placed at Kuda’s Auto Repair and other locations in Farber, or can be mailed to Farber CBC, P.O. Box 102, Farber, Mo. 63345.  Farber CBC is a 501(c)3 organization.
