Posted on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 11:19 am

Monday, August 28 will begin the 14th year of school for Perry Christian Academy (PCA). Teachers are busy preparing their rooms in anticipation of another great year.
Returning teachers include Lois Olivias, 3-year-old pre-school; Tricia Asquith, 4-year-old pre-school; Lori Prior, Kindergarten; Alida Gower, 1st grade; Alicia Creech, 2nd grade; and Dawn Phillips, secondary school coordinator and teacher. New faces at PCA will be Carol Hall, 3rd and 4th grade teacher; Roberta Norbury, elementary school coordinator and teacher; Mary Jo Waller, high school teacher; and Kristy Schott, Music, Art, and Bible teacher.
Also returning this year will be Vaneda Orth, Custodian; and volunteers Jim Anderson, Archery Instructor; Kris Yancey, Hot Lunch Coordinator; and Kristy Yancey, Secretary.
Perry Christian Academy is a private school offering a quality academic education from pre-school through high school. While students receive a well-rounded core academic education, they also attend a weekly non-denominational chapel service, Bible class, and Art and Music class.
Older students have the opportunity to participate in the Archery and Trap Shooting Teams.
While students need to bring a cold lunch on Mondays and Tuesdays, hot lunch will again be available on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays.
Our hot lunch program is prepared and served by a host of volunteer parents, grandparents, and community members.
Many exciting activities have been planned for the school year beginning with “Meet the Teacher Night” on Thursday, August 24 from 6-8 p.m. Students and parents are encouraged to bring school supplies, visit the classrooms, and meet their teacher.
