Pauline Phifer, 91, of Bowling Green, formerly of Windsor, died Saturday, Sept. 21, 2013, at Boone Hospital Center, Columbia.
She was born Aug. 20, 1922, in Henry County, the daughter of Henry Melvin Tinker and Edith (Johnson) Tinker. On July 18, 1942, in Nevada, she married Frederick Imogene Phifer, and he preceded her in death on May 5, 1987.
Mrs. Phifer was a homemaker.
Survivors include two sons, Don Phifer and his wife Rusty of Greenville, Mike Phifer and his wife Debby of Windsor; a daughter, Pat Hall, of Bowling Green; six grandchildren, Kim, Scott, Tina, Dean, Jay and Andy; 14 great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; four sisters, Maxine Gladfelter of Windsor, Jean Galloway of Sedalia, Joy McCurdy of Ft. Smith, Ark., and Ellen Linkner of Phoenix, Ariz. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Marion Tinker and Dean Tinker; a sister, Vivian Walters, and a son-in-law, John Hall.
