Van-Far senior golfer Brandon Otis qualified past districts last week after finishing with the 16th lowest score in the Class 1, District 6 match at the Norwoods Golf Course in Hannibal.
Otis was just one stroke short of winning a medal as the district awards medals for Top-15 scores.
“Brandon Otis did good job…,” said Van-Far head golf coach Dr. Forrest Bollow.
Trenton DeTienne shot a 121 for 25th overall to put him just one stroke away from earning a spot in sectionals.
Reaghan Case had a 126.
Since Van-Far’s other golfer Connor Albrecht was competing in the EMO Conference meet on the same day, the Indians did not have team points.
Otis then advanced to state with a 91 at the State Sectionals for 15th overall.
