The first Fall Monday Study Club meeting was held September 8 at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church in Vandalia.
The hostess for the meeting was Ann Foreman.
The meeting was called to order by club president Donna DeTienne as she led in the pledges to the American and Christian flags.
The devotional from Psalms 23 was given by Deedie Reading followed by prayer. Roll Call was answered by 10 members using the word “choice” or “choose.”
The duty was read by Ann Foreman entitled, “Divine Resources” based on Acts 14. She also led the question and answer session.
The special study was given by Val Galloway. She read an article from The Mexico Ledger, “Drifting Towards Hope, the Story of Vinh Chung from Vietnam, A Family of Ten.” He was World Vision Board of Directors president in Vietnam. Donna DeTienne read a poetry memorial in remembrance of our much loved friend and club member, Wanda Runyon.
Those attending were Donna DeTienne, Ann Foreman, Val Galloway, Martha Hopke, Helen Jerman, Beverly Largent, Jackie Marshall, Kay Reading, Deedie Reading, and Edna Mae Wallace.
The next meeting will be held September 22 at the United Methodist Church in Vandalia.
