The Monday Study Club met at noon on April 28 at the United Methodist Church for their annual Spring Luncheon.
The meeting was called to order by club president, Deedie Reading, as she led the pledges to the American and Christian flags.
Jackie Marshall had the devotional from “Blessings” titled “Blessings for all the World.” She followed with prayer and a blessing for the dinner.
After the meal was enjoyed by all, Carrie Reading gave a program on Puerto Rico. She and her husband had been on a trip to that country with the MFA. She told of spider webs being made into kevlar vests, coffee plantations, a very large catholic church, and spitting iguanas.
A card to Wanda Runyon was signed by all.
The members present were Jan Armstrong, Donna DeTienne, Ann Foreman, Val Galloway, Martha Hopke, Beverly Largent, Jackie Marshall, Doris Ray, Deedie Reading, Kay Reading, Helen Thompson, Donna Tilman, and Edna Mae Wallace.
Guests present were Brenda Elliot, Carrie Reading, Dorothy Culwell, Dottie Cahill, and Martha Baker.
The next meeting will be in the fall with the new officers officiating.
