The Monday Study Club met at 12 noon on April 22, 2013 at the United Methodist Church for their annual Spring Salad Luncheon.  Val Galloway and Donna Tillman were the hostesses.
The meeting was called to order by the president, Deedie Reading, as she led the pledges to the American and Christian flags.
Jackie Marshall had the devotional. She then gave the blessing for the meal.
Deedie Reading introduced members and their guests and invited the guests to lead the line for food. All enjoyed the delicious salads, rolls, sandwiches, and desserts.
Those members attending were Helen Jerman, Martha Hopke, Helen Thompson, Doris Ray, Edna Mae Wallace, Ann Foreman, Val Galloway, Donna DeTienne, Deedie Reading, Jackie Marshall, Donna Tillman, and Jan Shaw.
Guests present were Dottie Cahill, Brenda Elliot, Norma Shaw, Dorothy Culwell, the Rev. Paul Catterton, Lydia, and Ollie. The program was a sharing of collections, antiques, and memories.  Shown were Norman Rockwell plates, Navajo Sand Paintings, a quilt embroidered with all the 1953 class members’ names, a quilt that will be auctioned off at the Festival of Sharing, red birds, a very old potato masher and egg beater, diaries, 50 Santa Clauses, and 50 roosters, praying angels and miniature animals, a wedding dress, a handkerchief, a very old Bible with many four-leaf clovers.  Salt and pepper sets numbering 322 were all told about or shown.
The meeting was adjourned as all recited the Club Collect in unison. The next meeting will be September 9, 2013 at 2 p.m. at the United Methodist Church.
