The Monday Study Club met at 2 p.m. on March 26, 2012 at the United Methodist Church. Doris Ray was hostess. The president, Ann Foreman, opened the meeting as she led the pledges to the American and Christian flags.
Doris Ray had the devotional, “In the Middle of the Night,” quoting Luke 12:22-32. She closed with prayer.
The roll call, “Magnify,” was answered by 10 members with a verse from scripture.
Doris was in charge of the Duty, “Christ, Master of Misfortune,” taken from John 9. She also led the question and answer session.
For Special Study, Val Galloway read “The Hugging Judge,” by Jack Canfield and mark V. Hansen, from the book, “Chicken Soup for the Soul.”
Those attending the meeting, other than already mentioned, were Helen Jerman, Jackie Marshall, Mary Edith Newland, Deedie Reading, Helen Thompson, Edna Mae Wallace and Janet Shaw.
The meeting was adjourned as all members recited the Club Collect in unison.
The met meeting will be at 2 p.m. on April 9 at the United Methodist Church.
