The Monday Study Club met April 10 at the United Methodist Church.
President Donna DeTienne opened with pledges of the American and Christian flags.
Martha Hopke gave the devotional from “The Upper Room.” Looking forward, the Bible tells of many who made mistakes but we learn we can be forgiven and do the things that are right.
The prayer list was added to and Hopke prayed for their needs.
Correspondence Secretary Charlene Marshall sent letters to Ann Forman, Helen Carter, and Beverly Largent.
Roll Call was answered by the word “Restore” in scripture.
Edna Mae Wallace gave the special study from “Chicken Soup for a Gardner.” This man was building gardens for the needy.
He received 150 calls. A lady “Flossie” had lost her legs.
He built a ramp for her and gave seeds and watering tools to six women to help take care of her garden. We can all do something for others.
The meeting closed with members repeating the Club Collect.
The Spring Luncheon will be held April 24 at the United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall at 11 a.m.
Those present were Donna DeTienne, Edna Mae Wallace, Donna Tilman, Martha Hopke, Kay Reading, and Val Galloway.
The Lord has truly blessed us this year and we will meet again in the Fall. Please join us for good fellowship in the word.
