The Monday Study Club met at 2 p.m. January 14 at the Untied Methodist Church. Kay Reading was the hostess.

The meeting was called to order by the president, Deedie Reading, as she led the pledges to the American and Christian flags.

Jackie Marshall had the devotional from the Upper Room, “What Pleases God.” She closed with prayer.

Roll call “Strength” was answered by eight members.

Kay Reading was in charge of the duty, “Christ’s ‘Little While,’” based on John 16:16-33. She also led the question and answer session.

Doris Ray was in charge of the Special Study. She read from a book given to her by a friend from Wellsville. The article was entitled “Soaring Thoughts, Proof of Love.”

Those attending other than already mentioned were Ann Foreman, Val Galloway, Donna Tilman, and Donna DeTienne.

The meeting was adjourned as all members recited the Club Collect in unison. The next meeting will be on January 28 at the United Methodist Church with Donna Detienne as hostess and Martha Rathburn Hopke giving the special study.
