Highlights from the week:
A church service was held in the chapel on Sunday morning.
Monday morning a group of residents gathered in the dining room and discussed the Cuban Missile Crisis and in the afternoon the card players enjoyed playing “Pass the Trash.”
Wednesday afternoon a Lutheran service was provided for the residents and everyone also enjoyed ice cream sundaes.
Bingo, pool and shuffleboard were the highlights on Thursday morning followed by watching Andy Griffith shows and a pizza party in the afternoon.
That evening residents gathered in the pavilion area and enjoyed target shooting.
Again on Friday morning card players gathered to play “Pass the Trash and in the afternoon everyone enjoyed frying and sampling the fish which had been caught on some recent fishing trips.  On Saturday afternoon, VFW Post and Auxiliary No. 2657 from Fulton sponsored a bingo game.
MVH Staff Activities will be sponsoring a Books Are Fun book fair on Monday, September 17 from 7-4 p.m. at the facility.
The next Amateur Radio Club meeting will be at the facility on Tuesday, September 18 at 7 p.m.
Come and give your support to the men who gave so much to this country.
Alzheimer Support Group will meet on Wednesday, September 19 at 1:30 p.m. at the facility.
The public is welcome to attend.
Audrain County VFW Post No. 3772 and Missouri Veterans’ Home Assistance League will sponsor a Poker Run on Saturday, September 29.  The ride will be for all vehicles.  Watch for more details or call Dan Carson at 573-581-4848.
