Middletown to hold annual reunion

The City of Middletown is set to host its 126th Annual Reunion on Saturday, August 11 with the theme, “Take Me Out to the Picnic.”
The Flower Show kicks off the day at 8:30 a.m. as entries will be received at that time.
Registration is at 10:30 a.m. for the 11 a.m. parade, starting at the school.
A Kid’s Parade will also be held with lineup at Caldwell and Main Streets at 10:45 a.m.
Games and prizes for kids start at 1 p.m. at the same time the Washer Tournament begins. Sign-up for that event is 12:30 p.m.
The Wellsville-Middletown R-I FFA Club is sponsoring the Greased Pig Contest at 2:30 p.m.
This event is followed by the Egg Toss/Hula Hoop Contest.
A Baby Show starts at 3 p.m. with registrations beginning at 2:30 p.m.
The Kids Pedal Pull is also at 3 p.m.
This year’s Egg Drop event starts at 5 p.m. followed by the Super Farmer Contest at 6 p.m.
The bale throw follows that event.
Russell Gerlin will perform from 8-11 p.m.
During the day, there will also be a Cake Walk and Bounce House sponsored by the Middletown 4-H Club.
A Chicken Poop Raffle, 50/50 Raffle, and Golf Ball Drop will also be held.
A Rubber Chicken Contest will be held at a time announced later.
Along with a beer garden, the food stand will feature fish squares, hamburgers, hot dogs, and pork steak (plates or sandwiches).
Attendance prizes will also be held as potential winners must be present to win.
