Middletown Picnic – Saturday, August 11, 2012

The 120th Annual Middletown Fish Fry and Reunion/Middletown Picnic, will be held Saturday, August 11.
The event is sponsored by the Middletown Community Center, Inc. and organized by the GFWC Harmony Club.
There will also be a cake walk in the afternoon and a 50/50 drawing.
The main parade is being judged at 10:30 a.m. at the school.
A children’s parade will be judged at 10:45 a.m. at the corner of Main and Caldwell Streets.
Prizes for the children’s parade will be awarded in seven classes.
• Class I-Best Decorated Tricycle (boys/girls)
• Class 2-Best Decorated Bicycle (boys/girls)
• Class 3-Best Decorated Doll Buggies
• Class 4-Pets
• Class 5-Clowns
• Class 6-Miniature Float
Children’s Games
Begins at 1 p.m. at the Community Center. Ages are based on the grade the child will be entering this coming school year in August.
Games include frog jumping and turtle racing (each frog and turtle can be used only once), penny scramble, candy and gum scramble, sack race (also with open class), and 3-legged race (also with open class).
Flower Show
All entries must be homegrown and entered by amateurs. They must be received between 8:30-9:30 a.m. on the day of the event.
Only one entry per person is allowed in each class and all containers must be marked with the owner’s name. Prize money to be picked up immediately after 10 a.m. judging in the Community Building.
Entries then must be picked up between 4-4:30 p.m.
