Michael Jennings, age 62, of Silex, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2015, at his home.
Visitation was held from 3 until 8 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2015, at the Millwood Knights of Columbus Hall in Millwood.
A memorial graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, August 21, 2015 at the St. Alphonsus Cemetery with Fr. Charles Tichacek officiating.
Michael was born Sept. 7, 1952, in Hannibal, the son of Owen Willam and Betty Ochletree Jennings.
He married Ruth Ann Petty on Aug. 24, 1974, at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Millwood. She survives.
Other survivors include sons Brad Jennings (Susan), of Troy; Andy Jennings (Kim), of Troy; grandchildren Lizzy and Zeke Jennings; sisters Patti Kuda (Ralph), of Vandalia; Misty Jennings, of New London; and Peggy Williams (Chuck), of Pacific.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Michael grew up in Spencersburg and graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1970.
He owned and operated with his wife Jennings Sales and Service in Bowling Green from 1976-1982, at which time he moved to Silex and started working for Mordt Tractor, where he worked for over 30 years.
Michael was a member of the Silex Moose Lodge.
He loved being outside, working on his 1970 Chevelle and shop projects, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with family and friends.
Memorials may be made to the St. Alphonsus Cemetery or to the donors’ choice.
