Matt Adam, age 43 of Bowling Green passed away on Tuesday March 11, 2014 in Wentzville. Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday March 14, at the Second Baptist Church in Bowling Green with Rev. Don Amelung and Rev. Stephen Ottolini officiating. Burial was in Antioch Cemetery. Visitation was held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
Matt was born Nov. 15, 1970 the son of Donald Raymond and Karyl Jean Adam. On Sept. 9, 1989 he married Staci Dawn Arico at the Abundant Life Church in Des Peres. She survives. Other survivors include his parents; son Pvt. Matthew Adam of Bowling Green; two daughters Lauren Ingram and husband Ryne, and Ariel Pitzer and husband Amos all of Bowling Green; one unborn grandchild; three brothers Mark Adam and wife Stacy of Farmington, Iowa, Paul Adam and wife Anthea of Troy, Jeff Adam and wife Naomi of Eolia; sister Monica Kassebaum and husband Darin of Wentzville; parent-in-laws Jim and Karen Arico of Dardene Prairie; sister-in-law Wendi Lord and husband Michael; brother-in-law Adam Arico; eighteen nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
Matt was born and raised in St. Louis County and moved to Bowling Green in 2001 where he was a member of the Second Baptist Church. He graduated from Metro Christian High School and Spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa. Matt loved the outdoors, traveling, hunting and motorcycle riding. He was handy and could figure out and fix or build anything. He was an awesome Dad and even more awesome friend to his kids. He loved and enjoyed his family and taught them everything they know.
Serving as pallbearers were Pvt. Matthew Adam, Ryne Ingram, Amos Pitzer, Mark Adam, Paul Adam, Jeff Adam, Adam Arico and Michael Lord.
