Mark David McMorris

Mark David McMorris, age 48, of Vandalia passed away with family at his side at 6:53 p.m. on Monday, May 21, 2012 at the Tri-County Care Center in Vandalia. Mark moved to Vandalia with his family in 1972. He was a member of the 1982 Van-Far High School and a member of St. John Lutheran Church. After school, Mark worked for several years at Target Aluminum in Vandalia. He then began working in 1988 for Arrow Industries in Louisiana, Missouri and retired from there in 1999 due to his health. Mark enjoyed spending time with his three children. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and he was an avid Cardinal baseball fan.
Mark was born February 22, 1964 in Benson, Ariz. the son of Robert Perry McMorris and Doris Marie (Liesman) McMorris.
Survivors include his father, Robert of Louisiana; mother, Doris of Vandalia; one son: Jordan McMorris of Farmington, N.M.; two daughters: Courtney McMorris of Mexico, Mo. and Cheyenne McMorris of Jasper, Texas; one grandson: Hunter Burnett; four brothers: Steve and wife, Carol McMorris, of Bowling Green; Randy McMorris of Auxvasse; James and wife, Deanna McMorris, of Vandalia and Gary McMorris of Beaumont, Texas; two sisters: Barbara Majors of LaPlata, Mo. and Brenda and husband, Carl Nutt, of Vandalia.
Mark was preceded in death by his grandparents and one brother, David McMorris.
A time of remembering will be Friday, May 25, 2012 at the St. John Lutheran Church in Vandalia with a 7 p.m. Memorial Service at the church.
Officiating will be Pastor Adam Finney.
Interment of cremains will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are encouraged to the family.
