Marion Lonetta Douglas, age 96, of Eolia, passed away Feb. 20, 2014 at her home.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m., Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green.  Burial will be in the Eolia Community Cemetery in Eolia.  Visitation was at 11 a.m. to time of service Tuesday, Feb. 25, at the funeral home.
Marion Lonetta Douglas was born Jan. 8, 1918, the daughter of Frank and Ella Barr Williams, in Palmyra. At the age of three, her family moved to Hannibal, where she attended and graduated from high school.  After graduation she found employment until she married Robert L. Douglas and moved to her home town of Eolia.  To this union four children were born.  Their entire life was spent there, with the exception of a short term employment by her husband in Iowa and then soon returned to Eolia, where he became a well-known horse trainer.  They were active in their church services and loved the Lord.  They were members of Faith Tabernacle in Vandalia, and enjoyed 43 years of marriage.
Marion is survived by one daughter Doris McBee of Lincoln, Neb. and one son Ronald Douglas and wife Sherry, also of Lincoln; eight granddaughters, two grandsons, four  great-granddaughters, and three great-grandsons;  brother Vincent Williams; sister Joyce Williams;  and one daughter- in- law Lynn Douglas Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, who passed in 1982, an infant daughter, and one son Robert Wayne Douglas in 2001.
Pallbearers were Marshall Burbridge, Jerry Burbridge, Roland Rasberry, Jimmy Grimes, Paul Morton, and Roy McQuay. Memorials may be made to Faith Tabernacle Church of Christ or the Eolia Community Cemetery c/o Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
