Marilyn Faye Wilson, 72, of Eolia/Bowling Green, passed away on Oct. 23, 2013 at DePaul Hospital in Bridgeton. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. today, Wednesday, Oct. 30, at the Mudd-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green with the Rev. Dawn Marie Turner officiating.
Memorial visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Marilyn was born March 20, 1941 in Louisiana, the daughter of Clare and Mary Bradbury Worthington. She married William (Bill) Wilson on Aug. 1, 1959 at the Second Baptist Church in Bowling Green and he survives.
Other survivors include her son Michael David Wilson and wife Jessica of Bowling Green and her daughter Mary Anne Wilson of Columbia; two grandchildren Mikayla Elaine Wilson and Michael John Mitchell Wilson of Bowling Green; brothers Charles (Suzanne) Worthington of Pittsfield, Ill. and Bill (Mary Ann) Worthington of Charlotte, N.C.; sisters Clareta Tinsley of Bowling Green and Hazel Worrell of New Hartford.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Bud and Frank Clare Worthington and sisters Corrine Gregory and Mabel Holman.
Marilyn grew up in the Cyrene area and graduated from Bowling Green High School. She worked as a secretary for McIlroy and Millan, the principal’s office at Bowling Green High School, and for the Farmers Home Administration(FHA). Marilyn was a member of the First Christian Church Disciples of Christ in Bowling Green. She loved flower gardening, baking, cooking and most of all spending time with her family.
