On Sunday, May 8, a Vandalia police officer conducted a traffic stop in the area of West Walsh Blvd. and South Maple Street.
Officer made contact with the driver and identified them as Corey Manuel, 28, of Vandalia, Mo. A check of Manuel’s Missouri driving license revealed a suspended status and also a warrant out of Vandalia, Mo. for failure to appear on an original charge of driving while suspended.
Manuel was placed under arrest and transported to the Vandalia Police Department where he was photographed and fingerprinted and charged with driving while suspended.
Manuel posted bond on the Vandalia Warrant and was given a date to appear in Vandalia Municipal Court.
Manuel posted bond with a bondsman for the new charges of driving while suspended and was given a date to appear in Audrain County Circuit Court.
