A white Chevrolet Camaro comes to an abrupt stop after running into the Breneman and Ennis True Value building in Vandalia.

Customers and employees at the Breneman and Ennis True Value store in Vandalia received a scare on Tuesday, June 30 when a vehicle jumped a parking block and hit the front of the building.
David Jonathan “D.J.” McCoskey, age 21, of Vandalia, was driving a white 1997 Chevrolet Camaro when he lost control of the vehicle before it came to a stop after striking the brick facing at the entry way to the business.
McCoskey told some people at the scene that he had bent down to turn on the air in the car when he likely passed out.
McCoskey received a ticket at the scene from the Vandalia Police Department for driving a vehicle without a valid driver’s license.
The vehicle was towed away by Ingram’s Towing of Vandalia.
No injuries were reported.
