The Vandalia Area Chamber of Commerce is getting set for the concert featuring “Mad Hoss Jackson” on Thursday, June 25.
A concession stand will open at 6 p.m. featuring pulled pork, hamburger, hot dogs, popcorn, and ice cream. A car and motorcycle cruise will also begin at the same time.
“Madd Hoss Jackson” will start their performance at 7 p.m.
The Summer concert is the second free event in the “Music on Main” series of performances scheduled for the downtown parking lot just off Main St. in Vandalia. “Riverside” performed at the first concert in May.
“Mad Hoss Jackson” plays a mix of country, rock, 80’s, 90’s, and a few of their own selections.
The group features Jim Jennings (Drums, Vocals), Matt Bullard (Guitar, Vocals), Andy Ham (Guitar, Fiddle, Vocals), and Mark Behymer (Bass, Keys, Vocals).
Performers for Thursday, July 23 and Thursday, August 27 have yet to be announced. The final concert will take place as the evening concert during Prairie Days in September. Those attending the Concert Series are encouraged to bring their lawn chairs.
