On November 6, a search warrant was executed at 818 Griffith St. in Louisiana by the Pike County Sheriff’s Office and the East Central Drug Task Force assisted by the Louisiana Police Department.
As a result of the search warrant Pike County Prosecutor Mark Fisher has charged Roosevelt Burse, 64 years, of that address, with the class B felony possession of a controlled substance (cocaine) and the class C felony of unlawful possession of a firearm.
The Honorable Judge David Ash placed no bond authorized on the warrant.
At the time of the arrest Burse was out on bond for a charge of distribution of cocaine from June of this year.
Based on information gained from 818 Griffith St. a search warrant was applied for and served at 401 S. Third St. in Louisiana, a property owned by Burse.
All persons charged with a crime are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
