Lola Darline Huff Crenshaw went home to Jesus on Friday, April 19, 2013 at Dale Medical Center in Ozark, Ala. She was 77 years, seven months, and four days of age.
A memorial service was held Tuesday, April 23 at Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home. Pastor Greg Doss and Pastor George Merrill officated.
Darline was born Sept. 15, 1935 in Clarksville, the eldest of four children of the late Thomas and Viola Gardner Huff, and the grandchild of Herschel and Lola Stewart  Gardner. She was raised  in the Pentecostal faith. She graduated from the Clarksville school in 1954. She moved to Alabama in 1996 after living in California and Bowling Green where she cared for her mother for many years. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, genealogy, and a great cup of coffee. She had a sharp mind, quick laugh and took excellent care of her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one son Ronald Wade Crenshaw, one brother Thomas Huff III, one grandson Calab Crenshaw, and three nephews Donnie Ray Connor, William Burton Bass, and Herschel Huff III.
She is survived by children Allan Crenshaw (Elaine) of Ariton, Ala., Kenneth Crenshaw and Brenda Crenshaw of Ozark, Ala., grandchildren Jessica Dougherty of Alabaster, Ala., Raylene Crenshaw of Ozark, Ala., Amy Crenshaw Holloway of Columbia, S.C., Christina Till (Jeremy) of Ariton, Ala., and Bradley Crenshaw of Troy, Ala., also four great-grandchildren, Bethanee Till, Gage Till, Brenden Holloway, and Mallory Crenshaw; sister, Roberta Maxine Barlow (J.C.) of Yuba City, Calif., and brother Herschel H. Huff of Curryville. She also is survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will all miss Darline’s laugh and her caring ways.
In lieu of flowers the family requested donations to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
