Bailey Bowers, Peyton Beamer, Jocelyn Curtis, and Chloe Johnson, who will be 4th graders next Fall at Community R-VI, competed in the Quincy, Illinois Gus Macker 3-on-3 Tournament over Memorial Day Weekend.
Out of 16 teams in the 10U division, they grinded through a tough bracket to end up with third place on Sunday as they went undefeated on Saturday and then lost to the eventual champions on Sunday.
During the two day event, the girls were lucky enough to get picked to play on the dream court where commentators announce the players and the entire game, a beautiful hand constructed red and blue court is put together, give the girls nicknames for fun, and get water bottles from the Gus Macker staff.
It was the first time these young ladies had played a 3-on-3 basketball event but most likely not their last as they all enjoyed the two day event.
