The Community R-VI Lady Trojans lost their first EMO Conference game of the season last Monday after a tough 57-51 loss to Clopton.
The Lady Trojans trailed 28-23 at halftime and found themselves down 45-32 heading into the fourth quarter.
Community R-VI outscored the Lady Hawks by seven points in the fourth but were unable to complete their rally.
Jett led the Lady Trojans with 12 points while McCoskey had eight points and 16 rebounds. Steele had nine points and Brooks added eight points.
Hagan added seven points.
Clopton made 20-of-26 free throws in the win.
“Two really quality teams battling for position in the conference,” Curtis said. “We came back from big deficits which I was very proud of. Foul trouble was hard to overcome as we had two starters out most of the first half with two and three fouls respectively. I was proud of the way our bench played.  Rebecca Hagan gave some positive minutes and scored 7 points. We had our opportunities to pull it out just fell short.”
