Lady Trojans run into tough teams

The Community R-VI Lady Trojans softball team ran into some tough conference and nonconference competition recently as they were outscored 29-1 in three games.
Falling to Sturgeon
Sturgeon scored at least one run in the first three innings before adding six in the fourth to seal a 10-0 win on September 19.
Alissa Curtis, Natalie Thomas, and Chelsea Hoyt each had one hit in the loss. Jackson picked up the loss on the mound though she only allowed four earned runs with three strikeouts. The defense made four errors.
Tough loss to North Callaway
Community R-VI scored their lone run in the first inning to tie the game against North Callaway but eventually lost 9-1 as the defense made seven errors. Alissa Curtis was solid on the mound allowing just one earned run on six hits with four strikeouts. She was hurt by eight walks.
Amber Harrison had one hit and the team’s lone RBI. Curtis scored the lone run and also had one hit.
Dropping game to Montgomery County
The Lady Trojans had just one hit in a 10-0 home loss to Montgomery County.
Chelsea Hoyt had the lone hit for Community R-VI. Jackson tossed five innings and struck out two while allowing seven earned runs.
