The Community R-VI Lady Trojans got 22 points from its bench players in a convincing 70-30 win over Wellsville to push their record to 2-0.
“We are getting excellent offensive production from our bench and our depth is making it tough for teams if they do not sub when we do,” said Community R-VI head coach Bob Curtis. “Also, the first quarter ended with eight steals in the frame and 18 for the game. Our pressure led to a lot of run outs for easy lay-ups.”
The Lady Trojans led 27-2 at the end of the first quarter and pushed their lead to 43-12 at halftime.
They outscored Wellsville 27-18 in the second half to cruise to the 40-point win. Alissa Curtis had 26 points, seven rebounds, two steals, and one assist while Sadie Hoyt added 10 points, three rebounds, three steals, and one assist.
