Laddonia Board meets

The Laddonia Board of Aldermen met in a work session and submitted the following minutes of the September 14 meeting held at City Hall, in Laddonia.
Members present were Mayor Monte Hanson; City Clerk/Collector Rita Bland; Aldermen Gary Garnett, Francis Hunn, Glenn Jenson, Carl Donaldson, and Lyle Knipfel; City Treasurer Nicholas Parrish; City Attorney Tom Ellis; and Water Plant Operator Scott Allen.
The meeting was called to order by Mayor Hanson at 6:03 p.m. with Bland recording aldermen’s attendance.
A motion was made, seconded, and passed to approve the agenda and the same was done to approve the minutes for the August meeting, and all monthly board reports.

Old Business
Street paving report: All streets southwest of railroad tracks and all streets northeast of railroad tracks and Walnut Street between 1st and 2nd have been paved.
Dump truck condition: Tabled till work session to compile a list of non-working equipment.
Bid opening on city land for sale: a motion was made, seconded and passed to accept the highest bid of $12,000 to close within 60 days or sell to next highest bidder.

New Business
GSI water mapping system: After a brief discussion, tabled further discussion till work session.
Donaldson will research the best option.
ATV purchase: After brief discussion, tabled till work session, Garnett will check pricing for a utility ATV.
Lead Band Ordinance: Ellis read new ordinance by title. Motion made, seconded, and passed to accept ordinance.
Cross Connection Ordinance: Ellis read ordinance by title. A motion was made, seconded, and passed to accept ordinance.
Use Tax Ordinance: City Attorney Ellis is to research and create an ordinance to impose the consumer use tax. Discussion was tabled till work session.
Truck parking ordinance: After a brief discussion, further discussion was tabled till the work session. Ellis will research.
Motion was made seconded and passed to adjourn the meeting. The meeting was adjourned at 8:03 p.m. by Mayor Hanson.
