Through 11 games, the Angela’s Dance Company softball Chic Division softball team was undefeated at 11-0.
Their winning streak came to an end this past week when they lost to Bowling Green (Martinson) 18-14.
“ADC suffered its first loss of the season, but will enter the playoffs as the No. 1 seed and will host the first round of the playoffs on either July 9 or July 10,” said coach Pat Connaway.
ADC led early 7-2 before Bowling Green (Martison) scored 13 runs in the next two innings.
ADC scored five runs in their final at-bat but fell short by four runs. Pitchers Carleigh Phillips, Reaghan Case, and Katy Horner struggled on the mound after combining to give up 18 runs on just three hits.
They walked 18 batters and struck out seven.
Offensively, Phillips finished with three hits and scored three runs while Gina Clausen added two hits.
Both Erica Felmlee and Case had one hit and scored two runs, Morgan McDowell scored three runs, Horner also scored two runs.
