Keith Anderson set to perform at Prairie Days

Vandalia is just four Saturdays away from hosting country music star Keith Anderson during the annual Prairie Days on September 26.
Anderson will be performing on the Main Stage at 8 p.m. during the event sponsored by the Vandalia Area Chamber of Commerce.
The singer/songwriter is known for his two Top 10 hits on his debut CD like “Pickin’ Wildflowers” and “Every Time I Hear Your Name.”
His song “I Still Miss You” reached No. 2 on the charts.
He was the Billboard and Radio and Records No. 1 New Male Artist in 2005.
Anderson was a co-writer for Big & Rich’s No. 1 hit “Lost In This Moment,” which was a CMA and ACM Song of the Year nomination.
He’s also co-written “Beer Run (B Double E Double Are You In?) for Garth Brooks and George Jones, “The Bed” for Gretchen Wilson, “ and “Barn Burner” for Jason Michael Carroll.
Anderson is starting to get some recognition for his latest song “I’ll Bring The Music.”
The group “State Line Drive” will open for Anderson at 6 p.m. on the Main Stage. The group is made up of twin brothers Mason and Micah Marrs along with Jordan and Joel Mills and Jacob Flier.
Most of the members are from the Kansas City, Kansas area.
The group sings country/pop music. They won the Lee’s Summit Got Talent grand prize.
The Ebers Band will play on the Small Stage at 3 p.m. followed by Joe Cole’s Comedy/Magic Show at 5 p.m. on the Main Stage.
This year’s Prairie Days begins at 8 a.m. with the 5K/10K race sponsored by the Eastern Audrain Library/YMCA Project. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.
The Baby Show’s registration is at 8:30 a.m. for the 9 a.m. event, with Tracy Wilburn as chairperson.
The Little Mr. and Little Miss Contest will follow.
Amy Kuda is the chairperson for the Volleyball Tournament that also starts at 9 a.m.
Chairpersons are Dr. and Mrs. Michael Cole for craft vendors who can begin setting up displays at 10 a.m. in time for the 11 a.m. parade with a 10:30 a.m. line up at South School Park.
A noon Motorcycle Cruise will be held with Mike Culwell as chairperson. An Antique Tractor Showcase will also be on display.
Also at noon will be the Corn Husking Contest as sponsored by the Vandalia Area Historical Society.
The Small Stage at noon will feature street entertainment from the Van-Far Marching Band and Van-Far Alumni & Friends.
A Kids Carnival will last from 12:30-4:30 p.m.
The 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament begins at 1 p.m. with a 12:30 p.m. registration.
Derek Kuda is chairperson for the 2 p.m. Washer Tournament.
His business, Kuda’s Auto Repair, is sponsoring the Car Cruise at 5:30 p.m.
