Jonilyn Lea Findley, 69, of Louisiana, Mo., died Thursday, July 4, 2024, at her home surrounded by her family. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, July 12, 2024, at the Collier Funeral Home in Louisiana, Mo. Burial will be at the Riverview Cemetery in Louisiana, Mo. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
Jonilyn was born Sept. 3, 1954, to John L. Branstetter and Peggy Harvey Branstetter. She was married to Robert “Bob” William Findley on Jan. 18, 1975, and he survives.
She is also survived by a son, William “Joe” Findley (Erin), a daughter, Layla Findley, her mother, Peggy Jean Branstetter, three grandchildren, Alonzo Findley, Andre Findley (Morgan), and Casey Coleman, four great grandchildren, Ty Findley, Ella Findley, Daizee Findley, and D’Anthony A. Coleman, two brothers, Robert Branstetter and Rusty Branstetter, a sister, Pam Branstetter Walker (Mike Shaw), nine nephews, and three nieces.
Her father, John Luke Branstetter, and a grandson, D’Anthony Trevon Coleman, died earlier.
Jonilyn was a graduate of Louisiana High School. She worked as a secretary/office administrator for 30-plus years and was the Louisiana City Hall Treasurer. She enjoyed archery and was champion at local tournaments and also enjoyed boating. She was a skilled seamstress in sewing, knitting, and embroidery, etc. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and daughter.
Pallbearers will be Alonzo Findley, Andre Findley, Casey Coleman, Matt Boehlein, Kyle Walker, and Jason House.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or Community Loving Care Hospice.
