Jay Vee Stumbaugh age 58, of Mexico, passed away May 4, 2014 at the Southside Town House in Mexico.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Bowling Green.
Jay Vee was born Oct. 12, 1955 in the Pike County Hospital in Louisiana, the son of Jack Vincent Sr. and Evelyn Woods Stumbaugh. Survivors include one brother Jack Stumbaugh of Bowling Green; sister Joyce Knight and husband Phillip of Bolivar; nieces and nephews Kevin and wife Rhonda Stumbaugh of Bowling Green, Jerry and wife Laura Stumbaugh of Bowling Green, Kenny Nelson of Curryville, Brian Nelson and wife Debra of Bolivar, Clifford and wife Angie Nelson of Hannibal, and Lisa Nelson of Hannibal; and many great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Jader Dean Stumbaugh.
Jay Vee lived and grew up in Louisiana. He attended the Baptist Church with his family and graduated from Louisiana High School. He served as a custodian in housekeeping at the Pike County Hospital and loved camping on the family farm. He loved to look at the river and enjoy the view from Park Hill and Louisiana River front. Jay Vee liked to spend time in the park and feed the wildlife. Jay Vee began living at Southside Townhouse on September of 2005 in Mexico until the time of his death. He had many friends at Southside Townhouse that will miss him very much.
Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Stumbaugh, Jerry Stumbaugh, Brian Nelson, Kenny Nelson, and Clifford Nelson.
