James L. Taylor, age 81, of Annada, passed away Saturday, March 29, 2014 at the St. Joseph Hospital in St. Charles.  Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2 at the Greenwood Cemetery in Clarksville, with Rev. Gene Spies officiating.
He was born Sept. 15, 1932 in St. Louis, the son of Lester and Lucille McClennen Taylor.  He married Kathryn (Kitty) Simpson Nov. 27, 1958 in Overland.  She preceded him in death in 1991.  Survivors include nephews Jesse Simpson III of Annada and Michael Christopher; nieces Christy Walker and husband Robert, Pamela Christopher,and Mary Witherington and husband Byron; great-nephews Jesse Simpson IV, of Clarksville, and Cody Simpson and wife Dawn, of Moscow Mills; sisters Mary Ann Christopher and husband George, of St. Louis and Rose Marie Taylor, of St. Louis.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife. James served in the United States Army. He and his wife  moved to Annada in 1972.  He worked for American Airlines for 30 years until 1987 when he retired.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and trail riding.
