The Indians opened the baseball season in Jefferson City last week.
“We played well early on,” said Coach Pat Connaway. “Then we just made too many mistakes and we gave Calvary Lutheran 4 and 5 outs an inning. Overall, for not being on the dirt all year it wasn’t bad, we just need to continue to improve,” he added. Despite their efforts they fell to Calvary Lutheran. The final score was 11-1. On Monday night, the Indians played the Hermann Bearcats. “We had an awful 1st inning and gave up 8 runs only 1 earned and trailed 8-1.” said Connaway. The final score was 12-1. The Indians will be playing several games in the coming week.
The Indians competed in track at Bowling Green last Friday and did a great job. Gage Gibson placed third in 300m hurdles. Erin Childs placed fourth in the3200m.
