Members of the Van-Far FFA toured The Oklahoma National Stockyards in Oklahoma City at the end of May. One of the largest stockyards in the nation, members heard from the president of the stockyards, enjoyed breakfast at the Stockyard Cafe, and got an up-close look at the operation of a stockyard. While they were there, members also had a tour of Oklahoma State University and their Horticulture Program. Students learned about the university’s college of agriculture and its opportunities, as well as explored the horticulture program and their set-up for post-secondary student learning.
