The Vandalia Area Fairgrounds hosted a Swine Show conducted by the Van-Far FFA last week. Numerous contestants made their way to the arena as the judge and the announcer took their positions at the table. John Wallace, who was the announcer, welcomed everyone to the event.
“We have a short show today and we welcome everyone who came out,” said Wallace. “We want to thank the FFA members and all the Ag crew who came along with the officers and the Ag teachers that are helping to facilitate this event,” he added.
During the show, Van-Far FFA members of the State Champion Nursery and Landscape Team were selling cinnamon roasted almond and pecan nuts and a food stand was provided by Brice Happy Hustlers 4-H Club. Kelsey Marek, of Salisbury, Missouri, judged the swine during the event.
