Phyllis Marguerite Eskew Hursman

Phyllis Marguerite Eskew Hursman, 90, died Sunday July 3,2022, in Mt. Washington, Ky. Her Daughter Debi was at her side.
Services were held at 2 p.m., Saturday, July 9, 2022, at the Waters Funeral Home. Bro. Bob Hoehn officiated. Burial followed the service in the Vandalia Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 1 p.m. until the time of the service Saturday at the Water Funeral Home.
Phyllis was born Dec. 2, 1931, in Vandalia Mo., to John (Jockey) Eskew and Helen Arthur Eskew. She was a graduate of Vandalia High School Class of 1950. She married her high school sweetheart, Archie Hursman, May 26, 1950. He died April 21, 2015. Primarily a homemaker, she did work outside the home at times in retail and at the International Shoe Co that was located in Vandalia.
She enjoyed crafts, cross stich and cooking, and antiquing. Her children and grandchildren were her treasures. Phyllis and Archie enjoyed traveling across the U.S. in their camper, visiting friends and family along the way to the next adventure. Moving to Mt. Washington in 2016 gave her the chance to enjoy haunting craft stores, flea markets and Wings at Rumors in Louisville.
Phyllis leaves behind three children, Deborah (Ted) Wells, Mt. Washington Ky, Dennis (Joyce) Hursman, Auburndale, Fla., Douglas (Sheri) Hursman, Ozark, Mo., otherwise her 3 D’s.
Her 12 grandchildren, Shawn Hursman, Shani Hillard, Tia {Dennis) Hall, Justin (Charity) Wells all of Kentucky. Tyra (Greg) Hunt, Marguerite Hursman of Florida; Amber Riggs of Missouri; Adam (Sarah) Hursman, Brandi (Cabin) Lawson, Emily Hursman, Megan (Matt) Sweet, Brittany (Jimmy) Cole of Mo.; 22 great-grandchildren, Ashlley and Mason Hillard, Madison and Tyler Hall, Tristen and Gavin Wells, Gregory (Fisher) Hunt, Zana Riggs, Colby, Isla, Austen and Clayton Hursman, Abby Ayres, Cole Lawson, Wyatt Moore, Wesley Waltz, Eliza Sweet, Hailey Brewer, Charlie, Archer, Raelynn, and Gunner Cole.
Her husband, Archie, sister Wilma (Jerri) Smith, brothers Russell (Gene) and Jimmy Eskew, all died earlier.
Phyllis is survived by her sister, Edith Kemp, of Davenport Iowa.
