Larry G. Pease, 57, of Center, Mo., died at 12:42 a.m., Thursday, May 19, 2022, at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Mo.
A memorial service was held at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at Waters Funeral Home in Vandalia, M0. Bro. Kenny Haddock officiated.
Visitation celebrating Larry’s life was held at 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m., Wednesday at the Waters Funeral Home.
Larry was born Feb. 6, 1965, in Mexico, Mo., the son of Ira Melvin and Helen Mae (Keller) Pease.
He was united in marriage to Krista Hildebrand on June 24, 1989, in Vandalia, Mo.
Survivors include his wife, Krista Pease of Center, Mo.; brother, Darwyn Pease (Debbie) of rural Curryville, Mo.; sister, Helen Denise Noland of Vandalia, Mo.; brother-in-law, Troy Hildebrand (Carol) of Licking, Mo.; three nephews, Josh Pease (Emily), Caleb Pease (Sarah) and Austin Hildebrand; three nieces, Chelsa Shockley, Emily Ebers and Deanna Noland; and great nieces and nephews.
His parents and brother, Randy Pease, all died earlier.
Larry graduated from Bowling Green High School with the class of 1983 where he was involved in FFA.
Larry started his career at Ennis Implement and Jennings Implement in parts sales. He later delivered fuel for MFA and delivered parts for Yancey’s for several years until his health forced him to retire.
He enjoyed restoring automobiles and drag racing them, some of his favorite cars were his 1977 Monte Carlo and a 1974 Oldsmobile Cutlass. Larry also had an interest in horseback riding and going on trail rides with his wife, Krista, and other family and friends. He most often could be found in his shop tinkering. Larry was known around the area for working on carburetors and could fix and build just about anything if he put his mind to it.
Larry was a Baptist by faith.
Honorary pallbearers were Scott Bartison and Harold Humphrey.
