Jerome Ray Shamp, 48, of Bellflower, Mo., died Thursday, Oct. 6, 2022, at the St. Louis University Hospital.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Oct. 29, 2022, at the old Bellflower School Gym from 2 – 5 p.m.
Jerome was born Sept. 18, 1974, in Minneapolis, Minn., to Arthur E. Shamp and Debra Ann Wright. As a child, he attended the New Harmony Christian Church with his mother and siblings. He worked as a batchman supervisor for many years at Mark Twain Redi Mix.
On Oct. 29, 2000, he married the love of his life, Donnia (Daleen) Shamp, in Curryville, Mo.
Jerome loved anything outdoors. He lived hunting, camping, going to the ocean and taking rides on his motorcycle.
Family was everything to Jerome.
Jerome is survived by his loving wife, Donnia Shamp; daughter, Sabrina (Dylan Horn) Shamp; son, Seth (Rebecca Littrell) Shamp, all of Bellflower, Mo.; grandchildren: Lilly Horn, James Horn, Anna Horn, and Zoie Horn, all of Bellflower, Mo.; siblings Jeff (DeeDee) Shamp of New Hartford, Mo., Jessie (Gene) Fincher of Bowling Green, Mo., Jeanne (Sonny) McCurdy of Vandalia, Mo.; stepfather, Dave Black of Vandalia; mother-in-law, Charlotte Daleen; brother-in-laws, David (Clare) Daleen, Rick (Kelly) Daleen, Daryl (Mara) Daleen and Danny Daleen; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends.
His first-born daughter, Shyann Shamp; his parents, Arthur Shamp and Debra Black; his stepbrother, Damon Black; grandmother, Harriet Litchfield; father-in-law, Ted Daleen; nieces Daphne Summers and Angel McCurdy; and many other loved ones, all died earlier.
Together forever, never apart
