Mass of Christian burial for Janet Ann Hudson, 88, of Laddonia, was hekld at 11 a.m., Monday April 17, 2023, at St John Catholic Church in Laddonia with Father Phil Kane officiating. Burial followed in Laddonia Cemetery.
Visitation was from 9 a.m. until the time of the mass at the church.
Mrs. Hudson entered into heaven with her lord and savior at 5:58 a.m., April 13, 2023, at King’s Daughters Home in Mexico.
She was born Aug. 17, 1934, in Hannibal, the daughter of Thomas Bernard and Ruth Juanita Palmer Kendrick.
Janet married Paul Everett Hudson on Nov. 25, 1954, in Vandalia and he died earlier on March 11, 1990.
Survivors include two sons; Tom (Lisa) Hudson of Laddonia and Dan (Laura) Hudson of Mexico, one daughter; Paula (Marty) Aulbur of Martinsburg, eight grandchildren; Travis Aulbur, Trisha Isgrig, Tracy Shepard, Brandon, Justin, Trenton, Devin, Dylan Hudson and 12 great grandchildren, along with several other family members and friends.
Her parents and her husband died earlier.
Mrs. Hudson was a lifetime area resident and member of the St. John Catholic Church in Laddonia. Throughout the years, Janet worked at PK’s Market, Martinsburg Post Office, Shelter Insurance, and City Clerk of Laddonia. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and playing cards. Most of all, Janet enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Travis Aulbur, Brandon Hudson, Justin Hudson, Trenton Hudson, Devin Hudson, and Dylan Hudson.
Honorary pallbearers were Mike Shepherd, Jesse Isgrig, Trisha Isgrig, Tracy Shepherd, Crystal Aulbur, Jen Hudson, Shannon Hudson, and Kayla Hudson.
