The Indians played against North Callaway last week. Coach Pat Connaway said that there were some great innings during the game.
“Errors and giving them extra outs every inning were the theme again,” said Connaway. “Hunter pitched really well, but our defense let us down. The positive is that we kept playing and didn’t self-destruct. We hung around and actually had a great sixth inning where we scored four runs and cut the lead to 10-7, but we gave up two unearned runs in the bottom half and ultimately fell 12-7 in seven innings,” he added. The Thunderbirds won the game with a final score of 12-7.
A scheduled home game against Wellsville was canceled, because of rain. The Indians will resume their season April, 7.
