The Heavenly Maid cleaning service recently celebrated their one year anniversary. Owners Jordan and Kristina Harvey, who live in Paynesville, Mo., said that they travel all over the area for clients in need of their cleaning services.
“We travel as far as an hour away to meet the needs of our clients,” said Jordan Harvey. “In our first year of business, we have established a good clientele base and we currently have 30 regular customers that we work for. It all came together rather quickly for us after we decided to start the business. Kristina had announced that we were open for business at our church and the word of mouth really took off. By keeping highly competitive rates for our services, we have continued to increase the number of homes and businesses that we are cleaning,” he added.
As the old saying goes, ‘Cleanliness is next to Godliness,’ the Harveys said that they started out by praying for a door to open up to the local cleaning industry. Soon after, they said, customers began reaching out to them. Offering everything from a standard cleaning to a deep clean, the Heavenly Maid has generated positive reviews for their services and work ethic. Comments on their Facebook page include remarks such as “Kristina did an awesome job cleaning my home. She is a very hard worker and I would highly recommend her.” Kristina said that their services are not only affordable but also flexible to meet the individual needs of their clients.
“Some of our clients request a weekly cleaning, while others are bi-weekly or even on a monthly basis,” said Kristina Harvey. “The type of cleaning service that we provide also depends on the desires of the customer. A regular cleaning includes floors, base boards and countertops, fans, lights, cabinets etc. A deep cleaning may include bedding, dishes and other tasks that the customer may request. We understand that people are stretched thin at times and need extra help, so we always do our best to go above and beyond what the customer needs,” she added.
With service locations stretching all the way from St. Charles, Mo. to Paris, Mo., the Harveys have hired several employees that help them fulfill their scheduled jobs.
“One of our employees is part time and the other is full time,” said Jordan. “Our full time employee was able to leave her primary job after we offered her enough work on a steady basis. We care for our employees just as much as we care for our clients. Despite the rising cost of supplies caused by inflation, we have been able to maintain our standard rates while continuing to offer our employees competitive wages.” he added.
Jordan also owns an electrical business and works as an electrician. While his role in the cleaning business is more of a managerial position, he said that Kristina drives the operation, scheduling clients and cleaning the houses and businesses.
