The Community R-VI Lady Trojans ended their season last week after they played St. Elizabeth in the Class 1 State Tournament. Head Coach Bob Curtis said he is proud of the season that the Lady Trojans had.
“I am so proud of this group and what they have accomplished this season,” said Curtis. “22 wins, New Franklin Tourney Championship, District Championship, and ranked 10th in the state to end the season. It wasn’t our night against St. Elizabeth, as we struggled at the FT line and from the field. St. Elizabeth connected on eight threes and went 20-26 from the line. Shooting over 50 percent from the field. We have battled illness the last two weeks and pulled out two nice wins in the district. We were a little under the weather during the game but we battled through. These girls are winners and I am proud of the winter they put together,” he added.
