Homer Thomas Frankhouser (Tom) 76, of Sacramento, Calif. went home to his Lord at 6:30 p.m., Sunday, September 9, 2012, at Woodside Health Care Center in Sacramento.
A memorial service to celebrate Tom’s life will be held October 6, 2012 at 2 p.m. at Kentucky Road Christian Church in Mexico, Mo. Brother Todd Luce will officiate.
Tom was born on April 30, 1936, in Jefferson, Iowa, the son of Homer Thomas and Viola Edith (Haight) Frankhouser.
He graduated from Bowling Green High School in Bowling Green, Mo.
Tom was a realtor in California for many years. Later he became an auctioneer, which at that time he started his own auction business.
Over the years, be belonged to the Lions Club and the Christian Businessmen organization. Until failing health prohibited, he attended Trinity Baptist Church in Sacramento.
Tom’s survivors include: his wife Karen Frankhouser of Sacramento, Calif.; two daughters, Crystal (Barry) Sparks of Vandalia, Mo., and Kelly Ann (Jon) Gleaton of Chesapeake Bay, Va.; one grandson and two granddaughters.
He is also survived by brothers, Larry (Maxine) Frankhouser of Murray, Ky.; David (Jean) Frankhouser of Mexico, Mo.; and one sister Ruth (Roger) Bond of White Hall, Ill.; as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother, Dennis.
Memorials may be made to the Kidney Foundation.
