Homecoming at R-VI

The Community R-VI School District celebrated Homecoming 2018 “Through the Years” last week.
A Homecoming king and queen were crowned during the basketball match-up with Paris on Friday night.
Cordell Hollensteiner was crowned king and Delanie Windmann was crowned queen. Other members of the Homecoming Court include Matthew Utterback, Faye Fennewald, McCailyn Drainer, Dalaney Bowers, Natalie Gibson, Evan Hartsock, Kyle Oligschlaeger, and Justin Duenke.
Several contests were held throughout the week resulting in the seniors winning the Spirit Shield. The juniors were second, sophomores came in third, and freshman were fourth.

Poster Results: 1) Seniors; 2) Juniors; 3) Sophomores; 4) Freshman

“The Final Countdown” poster was the top senior poster; “To the Max” poster was the best junior poster; “Flip Phone” poster was the sophomore best; and “Beauty and the Beast” poster led the way for the freshman.
Built Floats: 1) Juniors; 2) Freshman; 3) Sophomores; 4) Seniors
Banner Competition: 1) Seniors; 2) Juniors; 3) Freshman; 4) Sophomores
Class Games included King and Queen relay races, Cup Up/Cup Down, Plunger Crawl, Caterpillar Relay, and Cheeto Head to name a few.
