Helen Mae Schaller, age 94, of Eolia passed away June 17, 2015 at her home.
Funeral services were held 10 a.m., Saturday, June 20, at the St. Clement Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Peckman officiating. Visitation was held Friday, June 19, 4-7 p.m. at the Bibb-Veach Funeral Home in Bowling Green.
A second visitation was held 12:30 -1:30 p.m., June 20, 2015 at the Assumption Catholic Church in O’Fallon. Burial was in the Assumption Cemetery.
Helen was born Dec. 25, 1920 in O’Fallon the daughter of Edward F. and Mary A. Kuester Siesennop. She married Ernest J. Schaller in May 1946. He preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 1995.
Survivors include nephews Walter Klemme, Edward Siesennop and John Siesennop; nieces Cheryl Lhamon, Judy Klemme, Mary Murray, Kathy Burdess, Joan Busby, Patty Geisz and Amy Palitzsch; and many nieces and nephews from her husband’s side. She was preceded in death by her husband and parents.
Helen was born in O’Fallon, moved to West Bend, Iowa after she married, moved back to O’Fallon then to Eolia. She was a member of the St. Clement Catholic Church, enjoyed gardening, quilting and was a lifelong member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Pallbearers will be Edward Jess Murray, Aaron Murray, Mitchell Murray, Travis Burdess, Jarod Burdess and Logan Siesennop.
Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Lhamon, Tom Lhamon, Tony Siesennop and Zachery Palitzsch.
Memorials may be made to St. Clement Charities Building Fund.
